If you need an easy apple dessert recipe for the fall or want to spice up your holiday dessert table, this is the ultimate bread pudding. It's a rich custard-like bread pudding with big chunks of apple pie filling. Wonderful served with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream to complement the apple pie flavors. My father-in-law is 95 and he only likes sweet things, so I'm always trying to come up with new dishes. This is very good. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Ingredients :
- 24 - Hawaiian Rolls
- dried out a bit
- I use the oven to dry them
- 10 large eggs
- 6 cup(s) heavy cream
- 1 can(s) apple pie filling (21 oz)
- 1 1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon(s) grated ginger
- 2 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract
- make sure you use real vanilla
- pinch(es) salt
Intructions :
- Mix eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add spices
- salt
- and milk. Mix well.
- Add bread cut into cubes.
- Fold in apple pie filling.
- Pour into a greased casserole dish any shape will do.
- Bake at 350 F for 60 to 90 mins until a knife comes out clean.
- Serve warm or cold. I like it warm with ice cream or whipped cream. Enjoy! ]
