Banana Cake Recipe @pinch

This banana cake recipe is simple, but sometimes simple things are the best! Banana brings a natural sweetness and a hint of fruity flavor to this treat. Caramelizing the brown sugar for the frosting adds an extra layer of sweetness and creates almost a caramel flavor. The smooth frosting is a nice contrast to the moist, crumbly banana cake. Each bite is sweet and buttery. If you don't have ripe bananas, her tip is great and works wonderfully! I have LOVED this cake since I was a kid!!!! It would make appearances at Family Holiday Dinners and I could not wait to eat some!!! Years later I was tracking down the recipe and was asked "Why do you want that- it's no big deal JUST a cake mix"This cake is THE DEAL!!!!!So moist, full of banana flavor and the frosting is perfect!! When I make it my brother-in-law BEGS for cake to call his OWN!!! LOL
