Whoa... we would have never thought of battering french fries. Now, we're not sure we can go back to another way of frying french fries. The batter has the perfect crispy texture with a light fluffy inside. Seasonings are spot on, but we would suggest adding some sea salt over the fries once they're golden brown. These are delicious homemade french fries. We think this batter would be delicious for frying chicken and fish too! A change from regular fries. These are battered just like when you batter chicken or fish. They are very, very good!

Ingredients :
- 2 1/2 pound(s) russet potatoes
- peeled (about 6 medium potatoes)
- 1 cup(s) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon(s) garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) onion salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) paprika
- 3/4 cup(s) water or as needed
- 2 cup(s) vegetable oil for frying
Intructions :
- Slice potatoes into french fries
- and place them into cold water so they won't turn brown while you prepare the oil.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. While the oil is heating
- sift the flour
- garlic salt
- onion salt
- and paprika into a large bowl.
- Gradually stir in enough water so that the mixture can be drizzled from a spoon.
- Dip potato slices into the batter one at a time.
- Place in the hot oil so they are not touching at first. The fries must be placed into the skillet one at a time or they will clump together.
- Fry until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
