Each bite of these berry nutty oatmeal cookies is a delightful mixture of textures and flavors. Oats are hearty base, while the berries add a fruity punch. The nuts add a rich flavor and satisfying crunch. These chewy oatmeal cookies have bursts of sweet and slightly tart berries and a nutty crunch. This chewy oatmeal cookie, filled with sweet dried cranberries, coconut, and toasted pecans is 'berry nutty' indeed! I love a warm, chewy oatmeal cookie and spent many years trying to find just the right recipe. One day while gathering ingredients from my pantry for a batch of oatmeal cookies, I spied dried cranberries, coconut, and pecans left over from other baking projects and decided to use them up. My daughter named the cookie "Berry Nutty Oatmeal."
