Simple to make, this Dutch apple cake is addictive and guaranteed to be a hit at any gathering. The cake has an aroma of brown sugar and cinnamon spice mixed with the baked fresh apple flavor. It is moist with a delightful spiced walnut crumble on top. Enjoy this treat for breakfast or with warm apple cider. I am a recipe sniffer....which means I love to take recipes and change them to suit my tastes. This Dutch apple cake definitely did not have enough apples to please me, so I added more. It is now perfect. According to comments and reviews, this cake is better when it sits for a while (maybe overnight).
