Ingredients :
- 1 pound(s) mozzarella cheese
- cut into 32 sticks
- 1/2 cup(s) all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoon(s) water
- 1-1/2 cup(s) plain dry bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) seasoned salt
- 1/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
- 16 ounce(s) cooking oil
- - favorite dipping sauce
- if desired
Intructions :
- In a bag
- shake cheese with flour until well coated.
- In a shallow bowl
- beat eggs with water.
- In a second shallow bowl
- combine bread crumbs
- seasoned salt
- and garlic powder.
- Dip coated cheese sticks
- one at a time
- in egg mixture.
- Then roll in crumb mixture until well coated.
- Place cheese sticks on a large baking sheet and chill for one hour.
- In a medium heavy-bottom saucepan or electric skillet
- heat the oil to 375 degrees.
- Fry sticks 3 or 4 at a time in hot oil for about 3 to 5 seconds or until golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce
- such as marinara sauce.
