Nana RoseS Butter Fingers Recipe @pinch

An old-fashioned cookie recipe that will be delicious at Christmas, but they're so good you'll make them year round. The cookie is almost like a shortbread. Buttery and not overly sweet, they're very delicate. Dipping them in chocolate adds just the right amount of sweetness. We loved the flavor from the crushed nuts. This recipe comes from my grandmother. She started making these at Christmas time back in 1951. This recipe has been handed down from generation to generation. It is also very simple and not expensive to make. My grandmother had 9 children, so any recipe that was not expensive to make was a blessing.
