Ingredients :
- 1 pound(s) lean ground beef
- 1 small poblano or jalapeno pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 tablespoon(s) minced garlic
- 2 can(s) Bush's chili beans (medium, 16 oz each)
- 2 can(s) Bush's chili beans (hot, 16 oz. each)
- 2 can(s) kidney beans (dark and light, 16 oz each)
- 1 can(s) black beans (15 oz)
- 1 can(s) pinto beans (16 oz)
- 1 can(s) tomato sauce (28 oz)
- 1 cup(s) picante sauce, medium
- 2 tablespoon(s) Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon(s) A-1 sauce
- 2 tablespoon(s) light brown sugar (or to taste, but you need some!)
- - chili powder, cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to taste
Intructions :
- Brown ground beef with chopped poblano or jalapeno pepper, onion, green bell pepper, and garlic. Drain the fat off when browned
- In a large pot, add all ingredients together. Simmer for 2-3 hours, minimum. Taste frequently and adjust your ingredients to your taste
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Serve with my cornbread recipe or your favorite cornbread, crackers, or fresh bread.
