Need a vegetarian appetizer option for a holiday party? This onion mushroom tart is a sophisticated appetizer that's not hard to make. The onions have a wonderful caramelized flavor. Baby Bella mushrooms add a layer of heartiness to the tart. Sauteing the onions and mushrooms with a splash of wine brings another layer of sweetness and a slight tang. Gruyere cheese adds another earthy flavor to the tart. Store-bought puff pastry is the base for this savory tart and is super flaky once baked. Cut into squares for a lovely party appetizer. Easy to make yet very delicious.
