Ingredients :
- 1 pound(s) loaf of cinnamon raisin bread or any other bread your choice
- 1 package(s) cream cheese (8 oz)
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cup(s) half and half
- 1/2 cup(s) granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup(s) maple syrup
- 2 tablespoon(s) vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon(s) ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg (optional) i love the flavor
Intructions :
- Cube the cinnamon raisin bread
- Place 1/2 of the bread cubes in a greased 9 x 13 dish
- Top with cream cheese
- Then top with the remaining bread
- In a large bowl combine the remaining ingredients
- Pour over the top of the bread mixture
- Cover and refrigerate overnight
- In the morning, remove it from the fridge and allow it to stand for 30 mins. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake covered for 30 minutes until a knife inserted comes out clean
- Dust with powdered sugar
- Warm syrup in a pan over low heat or in the microwave. Drizzle onto each serving.
