Taco Noodle Bake Recipe @pinch

This dish is a great meal to throw together on a busy weeknight. Everyone in the family will love this. It's cheesy and full of so much flavor. The seasonings along with the fresh onions make the meat mixture super yummy. The noodles, with Jenni's cheese mixture, is nice and creamy. It's delicious! This is an easy, flavorful meal to throw together on the weeknights. You can make it as spicy, or not, as you'd like.

Ingredients :
  • 1 pound(s) ground beef
  • 3/4 cup(s) chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon(s) minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoon(s) taco seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup(s) water
  • 1 can(s) (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 pound(s) egg noodles
  • cooked and drained
  • 16 ounce(s) cottage cheese (2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup(s) sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon(s) flour
  • 2 teaspoon(s) beef bouillon granules
  • 1/4 cup(s) chopped green onion
  • 1/4 cup(s) chopped green pepper
  • 2 cup(s) shredded cheddar jack cheese
Intructions :
  • Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet with garlic
  • taco seasoning
  • and cayenne pepper. Drain.
  • Add water and tomato sauce.
  • Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile
  • in a large bowl
  • stir together cottage cheese
  • sour cream
  • flour
  • and bouillon granules. Mix well.
  • Add cooked noodles
  • green onion
  • and green pepper.
  • Spoon noodle mixture into a greased 9x13 pan.
  • Top with meat mixture.
  • Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and top with cheese.
  • Bake an additional 10 minutes.
  • Let sit a few minutes before serving.
