Drinking a cup of this apple cider is so very reminiscent of enjoying a real caramel apple at the county fair! Except, there's no sticky mess. It is a rich and delicious treat. We rimmed the glass with a little caramel and topped it with whipped cream. This is almost like a dessert and not something you'd have all the time. Perfect on a cool crisp evening. If you want to make this an alcoholic drink, add a shot of whisky or bourbon. A great drink on those cold days.

- 1/3 cup(s) heavy whipping cream

- Stir together brown sugar and whipping cream in a large saucepan
- Cook, stirring constantly, over medium heat, until it starts to bubble
- Stir in vanilla
- Add apple cider. Cook 10 min, stirring often. Garnish if desired.
