We fell in love with these easy haveto havemake crab balls. Super moist and tasty, they are similar to a crab cake, in flavor and texture, but baked instead of fried. Add a squirt of fresh lemon juice and melted butter and you have a lovely appetizer or entree. These baked crab balls are super easy to make, and are a fun dish to make. Ingredients :
- 1 pound(s) Backfin crab meat
- 1 - egg, beaten
- 1 cup(s) crushed Ritz crackers
- 1 teaspoon(s) yellow mustard
- 2 tablespoon(s) fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoon(s) parsley
- 1 teaspoon(s) Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon(s) Worcestershire sauce
Intructions :
- Place crab meat in a mixing bowl and pick out any stray shell fragments
- Add crushed crackers, Old Bay seasoning, and parsley to the crab
- In a separate bowl, combine egg, mustard, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Whip with a whisk until smooth
- Pour egg mixture over the crab meat and crackers. Gently mix, careful not to break up large lumps of crab meat
- Mold into golfball-sized balls and place on a cookie sheet
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
- Drizzle with melted butter and allow to cool. Serve with saltine crackers. Enjoy delicious baked crab balls!
