Crock Pot Beef Stew Recipe @pinch

A simple slow cooker beef stew recipe where no peeling potatoes and carrots is required. That's a win for us! The meat is tender and cooks to perfection. Most beef stew recipes have potatoes and mushrooms, but button mushrooms are a nice surprise in this recipe. Once it slow cooks, the gravy is nice and thick without the work. An easy weeknight dinner. Very easy, savory stew. Throw it together in the morning, and by afternoon you have a hearty, hot meal in a bowl. Fresh potatoes and carrots can be used in place of the canned/bagged veggies I use.

  • In a medium skillet, over medium-high heat, brown stew meat. I sprinkle a little of the seasoning mix onto the meat, just enough to cover in a light layer. Save the rest of the seasoning for later. Drain

  • Add stew meat and stir ingredients together
  • Cover. Cook on low setting for 6 - 7 hours, or until meat and veggies are tender. Stir occasionally.
