This recipe combines two types of sandwiches have a Monte Cristo and Cuban have into one heavenly sandwich. It is salty, sweet, and full of flavor. Frying the sandwich melts the cheese and creates a little crust on the bread. When taking a bite, have a napkin handy because it could get messy. Dipping the sandwich in pepper jelly adds a nice flavor contrast. Raspberry would be good too. The Cuban Cristo sandwich is a cross between a Cuban and a Monte Cristo sandwich. The sandwich is dipped into a batter and pan havefried. A combination of the best of both worlds in a tasty combination of savory and sweet.
