Pork chops are always popular and this is oven havefried version is an easy way to prepare them. There's not a lot of prep time and the stove stays clean. Hungarian paprika gives them a savory and sweet flavor. Once baked in the oven, they have a crunchy coating but the pork stays juicy. An easy recipe if you are having friends over for dinner. The hardest part of this pork chop recipe is flipping the chops while they bake. This is my husband's favorite way to have pork chops. They are always tender and juicy and taste wonderful. You can adjust the seasonings by adding, omitting, or substituting to your taste. Most of the time the only seasoning I use is plain salt and pepper.
Ingredients :
- 4 to 6 - pork chops, about 1/2-inch thick
- 2 teaspoon(s) season salt
- 1 teaspoon(s) black pepper
- 2 teaspoon(s) Hungarian paprika
- about 1/3 cup(s) all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoon(s) butter or margarine
- - baking spray
Intructions :
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Rinse pork chops and shake off excess water. Sprinkle desired seasonings on both sides and dredge in flour
- Add butter or margarine and vegetable oil to a shallow baking pan. Heat in the oven just until butter is melted. Take care not to overheat
- Tilt the pan to make sure the liquids cover the entire bottom. Arrange the floured chops in the pan
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Remove the pan from the oven. Lightly spray the upper side of the chops with baking spray
- Turn chops over
- Continue baking for 20 more minutes until golden brown.
