Frozen fruit salad is a very old havefashioned recipe. This is a tangy and sweet treat filled with bits of delicious fruit. It can be served as a fruit salad or a dessert. Perfect addition to brunch, luncheons, or any occasion really. This was a recipe that my mother used to make for my father have havehe loved it. It is a great recipe for a hot summer day. And, very easy to throw together.

Recipe Cuisine: American Recipe Category: Fruit Salads Yield: 6 Servings
Ingredients :
- 1 small container sour cream (8 oz)
- 1/2 cup(s) sugar
- 2 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
- 1/4 cup(s) chopped maraschino cherries
- 1/2 cup(s) nuts
- 1 can(s) crushed pineapple, drained (20 oz)
- 2 - bananas, diced
- 1 cup(s) Cool Whip
Intructions :
- Stir the first three ingredients together until creamy
- Add the rest of the ingredients (except Cool Whip)
- Fold in the Cool Whip
- So it will come out of the loaf pan easier, line the loaf pan with foil. Pour ingredients into a loaf pan and freeze. Once frozen, just pull the foil/salad out of the pan
- This salad freezes like an ice cube. I would recommend taking it out of the freezer for about 30-45 minutes before serving to let it soften a bit. (It also tastes better if it has softened.)
