These fried green tomatoes are heavenly and perfect for summertime. Grilling the tomatoes first cooks them a bit before frying and infuses a smoky flavor. With a nice crunch, it also means they don't have to fry as long to achieve a perfect golden brown. The slightly spicy fresh salsa on top is the perfect accompaniment. My husband and I came up with this recipe after collecting a lot of produce from our home garden.
